During the summer of 2005, six volunteers from the Borough were trained and have formed Woodbine's first CERT team. CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team.

The team is the Borough's first level of response to an emergency. All team members live in town and, when activated, can respond to manmade and natural emergencies in such a way as to make the job of first responders (police, fire, etc.) easier and more efficient.
